In SDG India Index – 4.0 (2023-24), under Goal – 4: Quality Education, Tamilnadu has been ranked 1st particularly with respect to Gross Enrolment Ratio in Higher Education; schools with basic access to infrastructure; percentage of trained teachers at secondary level. Despite the robust infrastructure, high enrolment etc., the performance of the State
